Cost Accountant

POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities Managing and maintaining standard costing processes Reviewing and maintaining Bills of Materials (BOMs) Monitoring and analysing Work-in-Progress (WIP) Conducting detailed variance analysis and investigating cost drivers Preparing management reports and cost analysis reports Supporting month-end reporting and reconciliations Assisting with budgeting and forecasting activities Monitoring inventory and stock valuation accuracy Analysing manufacturing costs and profitability trends Partnering with production teams to improve efficiencies Identifying cost-saving opportunities across operations Providing financial insights to support business decision-making Minimum Requirements Relevant Degree or National Diploma in Accounting, Finance, Cost Accounting, or a related field 3-5 years' Cost Accounting experience FMCG or manufacturing industry experience essential Food manufacturing experience highly advantageous Strong standard costing experience Proven experience with BOMs, WIP, and variance analysis Strong report-writing and reporting skills Advanced Microsoft Excel skills What We're Looking For Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Excellent attention to detail Commercially minded with a focus on profitability Strong communication and stakeholder management skills Ability to interpret and present financial information effectively Proactive and solutions-driven mindset Ability to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment Strong organisational and time management skills This is an excellent opportunity to join a market-leading manufacturing environment where you'll gain exposure to the full costing function and play a key role in driving profitability, improving processes, and supporting operational decision-making.
