Construction Project Manager

SUMMARY:
We are seeking an experienced and capable Construction Project Manager to take overall
responsibility for the successful delivery of an expansion to an existing warehouse facility. This
is a complex project where construction will take place alongside a fully operational warehouse
and distribution business.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the construction programme,
contractors and professional teams while maintaining business continuity, operational safety
and minimal disruption to warehouse operations. The role will oversee the project from design
and planning through construction, commissioning and final handover, acting as the central
point of coordination between the company, architects, engineers, quantity surveyors,
contractors, subcontractors, consultants, authorities and internal stakeholders.

POSITION INFO:
Requirements: Relevant tertiary qualification in Construction Management, Project Management, Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Building Science or a related discipline. 8-10+ years' relevant construction\/project management experience. Proven track record of successfully delivering significant construction projects. Demonstrated experience managing projects from design and planning through to construction and final handover. Proven experience managing main contractors, subcontractors and professional teams. Strong project programme, budget, cost-control and commercial management experience. Experience within commercial, industrial, warehouse, logistics or operational facilities will be highly advantageous. Sound knowledge of construction health and safety requirements and statutory compliance. Strong understanding of construction contracts, variations, claims and contractor performance. Experience working within an operational\/live industrial or warehouse environment. Excellent planning, reporting, negotiation and stakeholder management skills. Professional registration or relevant industry accreditation will be advantageous.
