Code 14 Driver

Job Description    

• Join Lactalis SA in East London as a Driver Code 14 in the Distribution department reporting directly to the Operations Manager. Successful candidates need to have a valid code 14 driver's license with PrDP. Candidates must also have the ability to analyse problems and potential to take charge of a situation. Required Skills    

• A valid code 14 driver's license with PrDP.
• At least two years’ experience as code 14 truck driver
• Grade 10 or equivalent.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Be customer service oriented.
• Ability and knowledge to perform pre-trip vehicle check.
• Basic numerical skills
• Ensure all Documentation is signed off by relevant persons
• Ensure that the truck is kept clean & tidy after the route is completed.

Duties & Responsibilities    

• Preservation of stock in transit.
• Monitoring and recording the cool unit reading.
• Deliveries, collection of return stock and completion of relevant documentation and reporting
• Vehicle handling and safe driving - Follow all road safety procedures and adhere to legislation
• Drive vehicle with due caution and care.
• Building and maintaining a positive image at all times
• Ensures a safe and healthy working environment for all
