Chief Supply Chain Management Clerk: Payments and System Control (Elsenburg), Ref No. AGR 58/2026

Minimum Requirements

• Senior Certificate (Grade 12 or equivalent qualification); A minimum of 6 years experience in public sector Supply Chain Management, Financial background. 

Key Performance Areas

• Ensure that all banking details are properly verified and correct before capturing any payments; Pre-Authorise payment invoices, credit notes, back dated price increases on the Legacy system (LOGIS);
• Ensure that all relevant documents comply with current legislation prior to submission for final authorisation; Ensure payments processed within 30 days; Perform system verification on all transactions captured on the Legacy System (LOGIS); Verify receipts captured on the Legacy system (LOGIS);
• Ensure that the system diary with regards to outstanding orders are maintained daily; Ensure proper document administration within the unit in terms of legislation; Ensure that filing is done timely and accurately; Assist with queries, both telephonically and for walk-in clients; Assist suppliers with enquiries.

Competencies

• Knowledge of the following: Legacy System requirements and functions; Financial background, specifically in Public Sector thorough knowledge of the PFMA, PTIs, NTIS; Record keeping procedures;
• Skills in the following: Numeracy; Capable driving of vehicles; Typing; Computer Literacy; Language skills; Project Management; Accounting Finance and Audit; Information Technology; Formal Training; Economic, financial analysis; Legal Administration; Strategic Planning.

Remuneration

• R 338 106 – R 398 277 per annum (Salary level 7)
• Note on remuneration in addition service benefits or obligations for qualifying employees (medical assistance, housing assistance, pension-fund contributions, etc) are funded or co-funded in terms of the applicable prescripts or collective agreements.
