Agricultural Economist: Macro and Resource Economics (Elsenburg), Ref No. AGR 63/2026

Minimum Requirements

• Appropriate NQF level 8 or equivalent qualification with Economics and/or Agricultural Economics as major subjects.; A valid (Code B or higher) driving licence.

Key Performance Areas

• Perform Administration and Related Functions; Conduct Research and Analysis to Support Outputs in the Division and Inform Decision-Making; Give advice, Disseminate Research Results;
• Communicate with Industry Stakeholders and advise to Management; Promote integrated governance to deliver on the mandate of the Department and liaison in the field of Macroeconomics and Resource economics; Support the training activities of the Department; Support sound decision-making through integrating and updating related databases.

Remuneration

• R 413 001 - R 486 501 per annum (Salary level 8)
• Note on remuneration in addition service benefits or obligations for qualifying employees (medical assistance, housing assistance, pension-fund contributions, etc) are funded or co-funded in terms of the applicable prescripts or collective agreements.
