SUMMARY:
Job Title: Access Rig Operator (Underground Platinum Mine)
Location: Lydenburg, Mpumalanga 

Job Overview:
Operate the access rig (access platform or work platform) to give safe access for drilling, support or other work at height underground.

POSITION INFO:
Minimum Requirements: Grade 10 or higher, with an access rig operator ticket or equivalent. At least 2 years' experience on trackless equipment underground. Knowledge of working-at-height and ground-support safety. Valid Certificate of Fitness. Advantageous: Experience with several rig types; bolter or drill rig experience; platinum mining experience. Key Responsibilities: Pre-use inspect the rig and report defects. Position and operate the rig to give a safe working platform. Make sure people and tools are safely on the platform, and follow working-at-height rules. Check the working place for hazards and ground conditions. Keep the rig clean and complete shift reports.
