Volvo Group has an open vacancy payroll specialist, the main purpose of the job is to ensure Volvo Group employees are paid on time without errors, to provide support with reporting and quality assurance.   • Matric (Grade 12)
  • Financial/HR Diploma will be an added advantage
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a large/complex payroll
  • Good financial acumen
  • VIP Payroll and ESS System experience essential
  • Tax Year-End submissions
  • Expert-level knowledge Tax Legislation in South Africa
  • Advanced Excel Skills
  • LRA and BCEA Legislation
  • SAP Finance added advantage

  • Payroll Processing
  • Payroll processing for monthly paid employees on VIP Premier
  • Importing of hours as per the time and attendance system
  • Use of Employee Self Service (ESS) for leave, claims and more
  • Full payroll accountability
  • Adhoc payroll functions including UI19’s, Certificate of Services and Quarterly Statistics
  • Monthly reporting at country level
  • Complex ad hoc reports when required
  • MIBCO Reconciliation
  • General Ledger Exports
  • Other month-end returns
  • Minimize risk within the payroll function
  • Support all Internal and External Audits
  • Quality assurance within the payroll function
  • Investigate errors and take corrective action
