The National Home Builders Registration Council (NHBRC) has an open vacancy for a Legal Officer that will be responsible for providing litigation management support to the Legal, Compliance and Enforcement Division of the NHBRC. Please refer to the minimum requirements, duties, and responsibilities below for further information.


  • Grade 12
  • LLB Degree
  • Professional admission as an Attorney / Advocate will be an added advantage
  • Three (3) years’ experience in litigation


  • Assist with the recovery of monies emanating from costs spent on remedial works, legal costs, DC penalties and any other recovery of monies due to NHBRC
  • Review instructions to take legal action and initiate appropriate internal processes
  • Receive court processes and take appropriate action timeously
  • Draft letters of demand to debtors
  • Provide support to litigation management to ensure that all litigation matters and processes are attended to within the prescribed timelines
  • Prepare instruction letters to Attorneys for interdicts, recoveries and general litigation matters and update the Attorneys Instructions Register
  • Assist in reviewing draft affidavits and pleadings as and when required
  • Create and maintain various registers including General Litigation,



Salary Range

R40 000 – R43 000 a month
