POSITION INFO:
Job Description: Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will oversee workshop activities related to the refurbishment, repair, assembly and testing of large AC electric motors. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising workshop personnel, ensuring quality standards are maintained, driving productivity, and supporting the successful delivery of refurbishment projects. This role requires a strong technical background combined with the ability to lead and develop a diverse team. Skills & Experience: Proven experience rebuilding and refurbishing large AC electric motors Strong knowledge of motor assembly and disassembly procedures Previous supervisory or team leadership experience within a workshop environment Experience within motor repair, refurbishment, rotating equipment, or manufacturing environments Strong problem-solving and fault-finding abilities Ability to manage and motivate a diverse workforce High-performance mindset with a focus on quality and operational excellence Qualification: Red Seal Trade Test preferred BTech, BEng, Engineering Diploma or related qualification advantageous Only South African Residents or individuals with a relevant South African work permit will be considered.
