An opportunity is available for a motivated WELDING ASSISTANT to support workshop artisans with fleet maintenance, welding-related work and general workshop operations. Permanent employment based in Camperdown.

An opportunity is available for a motivated WELDING ASSISTANT to support workshop artisans with fleet maintenance, welding-related work and general workshop operations. Permanent employment based in Camperdown. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Assist workshop artisans with welding-related and general maintenance tasks. Support vehicle repair and workshop activities. Assist with preparation and handling of materials and components. Maintain workshop housekeeping and safety standards. Assist with internal parts processes. Identify and report irregularities or discrepancies. Follow instructions and comply with workshop procedures. EDUCATION, QUALIFICATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS: Practical workshop or welding exposure would be advantageous. Interest in welding, fabrication or mechanical workshop activities. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Strong attention to detail and precision. Self-discipline and sound time management. Ability to work under pressure. Willingness to work overtime and standby when required.
