Water Plant Superintendent (Team Leader)

Requirements

• A Senior/Grade 12 at NQF level 4 qualification. Five (5) years’ experience in operations and infrastructure operations. The disclosure of a valid, unexpired driver’s licence (minimum Code B; a Code C1 or higher).
• Knowledge in controlling and managing the water distribution for all government waterworks within the Area Offices jurisdiction. Understanding of policy implementation.
• Monitoring and evaluation principles. Knowledge in managing human resources management. Disciplinary knowledge in Occupational Health and Safety.
• Disciplinary knowledge in public administration. Knowledge in supporting water utilisation and water resource strategy. Knowledge of flood controlling. Understanding of government legislations. Good communication skills both (verbal and written).

Duties

• Coordinate shift operations of pump stations, dam and dam walls, pipelines and weirs, reservoirs, and residential and office infrastructure.
• Coordination of maintenance at pump stations, dam and dam walls pipelines and weirs, reservoirs, and residential and office infrastructure. Implementation of OHS and legal compliance. Management of human resources.
