Warehouse Picker

Dermalogica is recruiting a warehouse picker to join our team at our DC in Randburg.

The primary purpose of the DC Picker is to accurately and efficiently pick customer orders using a handheld scanner and picking lists. This role ensures that the correct products are selected and prepared for dispatch according to daily order requirements. While the core focus is on order picking, the role may also involve packing picked orders using the scanner system and assisting with the receipt and bulk storage of incoming shipments when needed. The DC Picker plays a vital role in maintaining stock accuracy, order fulfilment speed, and overall warehouse efficiency. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, reliable, and capable of maintaining high levels of accuracy and productivity in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Key Responsibility Areas include, but are not limited to:

1. Picking

• Ensure each line item picked from fine pick shelves is pulled in according to the picking list in product & qty’s as stipulated on the handheld scanner
• Ensure all products packed are clean and are not damaged.
• All stock being picked must be checked for expiries before selection.
• If stock is running low on fine pick shelves, replenish as per the replenishment tasks created via WMS
• Notify Outbound Supervisor of damaged or out-of-stock items.

2. Stock Management

• Perform mid-year/ad-hoc & annual stock counts accurately, efficiently and timeously as requested by the Warehouse Manager & SCM
• All bulk boxes to be stacked according to their expiry dates within the Bulk Warehouse with the oldest items in the front, for these to be selected first. These shelves are always to be kept clean and orderly

3. Shipments

• Assist with the receiving, unpacking, sorting & receipting of all shipments. Ensure stock received is Barcoded, checked for damages and correctly counted & expiry dates are confirmed prior to being captured into WMS system within the Bulk Receiving Area.

Requirements:

Qualifications: Grade 12

Experience: No experience necessary but has numeracy & literacy ability, can communicate in English and can interpret packing lists, labels, and order details accurately.
