Volunteer Coordinator

SUMMARY:
A game lodge near Nelspruit, Mpumalanga, is seeking an experienced and adaptable Volunteer Coordinator to welcome and assist guests and volunteers while supporting the daily operations of the lodge and reserve.
The successful candidate must be hands-on, confident working with people, and willing to assist across various activities, including guiding, volunteer coordination and animal-related procedures. This is a live-in position requiring someone who is flexible, proactive and comfortable working in a dynamic game lodge environment.

POSITION INFO:
REQUIREMENTS: - Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar role, including guiding, volunteer coordination or working with high-level guests - Fluent in English; Afrikaans and/or additional languages advantageous - Valid Driver's Licence and PDP - Single candidate required due to live-in accommodation - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Confident working with guests and volunteers - Strong organisational and coordination skills - Flexible, practical and willing to assist wherever needed - Comfortable working in a game lodge and reserve environment - Able to work independently and as part of a team KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: - Welcome guests and volunteers and assist with check-ins and completion of indemnity forms - Transport guests and volunteers to various areas around the lodge and reserve - Assist with allocating daily duties and activities to volunteers - Take guests and volunteers on game drives and other activities - Assist with animal darting, procedures and animal relocations when required - Assist with maintenance and minor repairs around the lodge and volunteer village, or report issues to the appropriate person - Support the daily operations of the lodge and volunteer programme - Maintain professional relationships with guests and volunteers - Be prepared to assist with different activities and responsibilities as operational needs arise PACKAGE: - Salary: R7,000 - R10,000 per month, negotiable depending on experience - Live-in accommodation LOCATION: Near Nelspruit - Mpumalanga
