Dis-Chem Pharmacies has an opportunity available for a Visual Merchandising Manager for their Head Office.The Visual Merchandising Manager is responsible for executing in-store marketing campaigns that bring Dis-Chem’s brand and category strategies to life. This role focuses on the design, placement, and activation of visual assets across store windows, gondola ends, promotional areas, and free-standing units, ensuring campaigns are engaging, on-brand, and aligned to category and private label brands. The Visual Merchandising Manager works closely with the Integrated Marketing Campaigns team, category, private label and other stakeholders to ensure seamless in-store execution across all stores.
Minimum Requirements…
Essential:
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Marketing, Visual Merchandising, Design, Interior Design, or related field
- 5+ years’ experience in retail marketing, visual merchandising, or in-store campaign execution
- 3–5 years’ experience leading retail rollout initiatives, supplier coordination, or cross-functional execution projects within large-scale retail environments
Responsibilities
Campaign planning and calendar management
- Interpret category and brand campaign objectives into clear in-store visual merchandising plans
- Collaborate with the Integrated Marketing Campaigns team to align store execution with overall marketing calendars.
- Plan and schedule the roll-out of visual assets across all stores and promotional touchpoints
Campaign management and execution coordination
- Execute in-store visual campaigns including window displays, gondola ends, FSUs, and promotional media areas
- Manage production, installation, and removal of in-store assets to meet campaign timelines
- Ensure all visual merchandising materials are on-brand, high-quality, and commercially effective
Stakeholder alignment and governance
- Work with category managers, store teams, and marketing colleagues to ensure campaign consistency and compliance.
- Report on campaign execution, effectiveness, and in-store activation
- Maintain governance over campaign standards, ensuring visual assets adhere to brand
Competencies

- Strong experience in visual merchandising, retail marketing, or in-store campaign execution
- Knowledge of retail display design, POS materials, and promotional activation
- Ability to translate marketing strategies into impactful in-store experiences
- Project management skills to coordinate multiple campaigns across stores simultaneously
- Attention to detail with a focus on visual quality, compliance, and commercial effectiveness
- Understanding of retail production materials, substrates, fabrication methods, and cost-effective execution approaches.
- Collaborative mindset to work across marketing, category, and store teams

- Campaign Execution: Percentage of stores with visual merchandising assets implemented on time and as per brief
- Brand Compliance: Adherence to brand guidelines and quality standards across all in-store executions.

- Stakeholder Feedback: Satisfaction from marketing, category, and store teams on campaign execution
- Campaign Reporting: Timely and accurate reporting on in-store activation and insights
