About the role

The Uniform Clerk is responsible for managing and controlling the movement of uniforms and equipment, ensuring that accurate records are maintained and updated on PROFIT and the relevant database.

The role provides effective administrative, operational and compliance support to management, operations and key stakeholders to ensure that service delivery standards and operational efficiencies are consistently maintained at the highest level.

  • Matric / Grade 12.
  • Relevant administration, stock control or stores-related qualification will be advantageous.

Experience, Knowledge & Skills

  • Previous experience in an administrative, uniform, stores or stock-control environment will be advantageous.
  • Good computer literacy and administrative skills.
  • Ability to maintain accurate records and documentation.
  • Good stock and equipment control skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively within an operational environment.
  • Good interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with management, employees and other key stakeholders.
  • Strong sense of accountability and responsibility.
  • Knowledge of PROFIT will be advantageous.

What you will be doing

  • Manage and control the movement of uniforms and equipment under your control.
  • Ensure that all movement of uniforms and equipment is accurately monitored and updated on PROFIT and the relevant database.
  • Issue uniforms and attend to all dry-cleaning requirements.
  • Ensure uniforms and equipment are appropriately controlled and kept secure when not in use.
  • Receive and supply all relevant documentation to Payroll for employees who have been dismissed, resigned or are deceased, together with information relating to their uniforms.
  • Conduct stock counts for Cleaning and Guarding uniforms for Tiger Uniforms stock take.
  • Maintain accurate uniform, equipment and stock records.
  • Provide effective administrative and operational support to management and relevant stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with the Company’s policies, procedures and operational requirements.
  • Understand and comply with the applicable Quality Management System requirements.
  • Comply with applicable Occupational Health and Safety requirements.
  • Assist in maintaining the required service delivery and operational standards.
  • Perform any other duties and responsibilities as required in support of operational requirements.
