Travel Consultant - Durban
Job Description
Our client is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Travel Consultant to join their team in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1 year’s experience, previous travel industry experience, and strong knowledge of reservation systems such as Amadeus (non-negotiable). Candidates must have a Matric certificate, proficiency in MS Word and Excel, and demonstrate excellent accuracy, reliability, and attention to detail. Responsibilities
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to encourage repeat business and referrals.
- Design and sell customized travel itineraries tailored to individual customer preferences.
- Provide expert advice and recommendations on travel destinations and experiences.
- Identify and maximize sales opportunities to achieve business targets.
HOURS:
- The office operates from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm, Monday to Sunday.
- Rostered shifts, including weekends.
- Monday to Friday schedule, from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year’s work experience
- Proficiency in MS Word and Excel
- Experience with reservation systems such as Amadeus (non-negotiable)
- Matric certificate required
- Previous experience in the travel industry
- Strong accuracy and attention to detail
- Reliable and dependable
