The Western Cape Mobility Department has an opportunity for a suitably qualified and competent individual to assist with the regulatory and compliance process of the taxi industry. These posts are based in Vangate, Athlone.
R 413 001 - R 486 501 per annum (Salary level 8)

All shortlisted candidates shall undertake two pre-entry assessments. One will be a practical exercise to determine a candidate’s suitability based on the post’s technical and generic requirements and the other must be an integrity (ethical conduct) assessment. The selection process will be guided by the EE targets of the employing department.

Monitor compliance of all registered taxi associations and its members handle and manage conflict; Capacitate minibus taxi industry; Investigation and mediation; Monitor compliance; General administrative duties; Keep and update registration records; Engage with relevant stakeholders and roleplayers regarding legislation.
An appropriate 3-year National Diploma/B-Degree (or higher qualification) at NQF Level 6; A minimum of 1-year relevant experience; A valid code B driving license.

Knowledge in the following: Transport legislation and policies; Communication, media management, and public relations; Inter-governmental relations; Relations, public participation and public transport office administration. Minibus taxi industry; Criminal Procedure Act, Anti-Corruption and Fraud Legislation, and relevant legislation/policies/prescripts and procedures.
