POSITION INFO:
The Opportunity This hands-on role allows you to use your cross-border skills to run vital regional fleet movements. You will receive strong operational support while helping keep trucks moving smoothly and delighting key customers. It is the perfect opportunity to advance your transport career into senior operational leadership. Job Description Monitor cross-border truck movements daily using modern tracking systems to maintain delivery schedules. Keep regular, supportive contact with long-distance drivers to ensure safe and efficient trip turnarounds. Work directly with border clearing agents to prepare customs and transit documents in advance. Proactively resolve border delays at key crossings to keep freight moving without unnecessary standing. Coordinate scheduled loading, customer deliveries, and profitable return backloads across the regional corridor network. Check driver compliance files, cross-border permits, and medicals before dispatch to prevent travel delays. Coordinate workshop maintenance and roadside repairs quickly to keep vehicle downtime to a minimum. What You Need to Apply At least 5 years of hands-on experience controlling African cross-border road freight vehicles. Proven practical experience managing vehicles through key African border posts including ZAMBIA & DRC Good understanding of cross-border customs clearing processes, transit manifests, and route documentation. Practical background working with heavy commercial vehicle servicing, maintenance, and breakdown response coordination. Strong administrative ability to verify trip expense sheets, fuel receipts, and travel paperwork. Grade 12 Senior Certificate; relevant transport or logistics qualifications are an added advantage.
