Technical Digital Scrum Master

SUMMARY:
Our client in the Wireless Communications sector is seeking a Technical Digital Scrum Master on a contract duration of 6 to 12 months

Client requires a strong, delivery-focused Scrum Master to enable one or more cross-functional Digital/BSS squads to deliver measurable value in short, predictable increments. The Scrum Master will manage agile delivery through establishing effective ways of working, remove impediments, improve flow and quality, and coach Product Owners, engineers, analysts, testers and stakeholders in collaborative delivery.
 
This is not a purely facilitative role. The successful candidate must have sufficient technical depth to operate credibly in complex digital and telecommunications environments, understand software delivery lifecycles, APIs and system integration, cloud-native and DevSecOps practices, CI/CD, test automation, architecture dependencies, data considerations and production readiness. The role requires proven experience supporting large-scale digital transformation, legacy modernisation and multi-vendor delivery, while maintaining clear alignment between business outcomes, technical delivery and operational stability.

POSITION INFO:
Activities and key outputs: Healthy, prioritised and delivery-ready squad backlog. Effective agile ceremonies with clear decisions, actions and ownership. Visible impediment, risk and dependency management. Iteration and programme-level delivery plans supported by realistic capacity and technical assumptions. Flow and quality dashboards with agreed improvement actions. Working agreements, Definition of Ready and Definition of Done. Continuous-improvement backlog and tracked outcomes. Release-readiness and production-stability coordination with relevant technical teams. Coaching plans that increase squad self-management and reduce dependency on the Scrum Master. Minimum experience and technical capability: Demonstrated Scrum Master or Agile Delivery experience in large, complex Digital or IT transformation programmes. Hands-on experience with software product delivery, system integration and multi-vendor environments, preferably within telecommunications, BSS/OSS, e-commerce, digital channels or customer platforms. Strong working knowledge of APIs and integration patterns, microservices, cloud platforms, CI/CD, DevSecOps, automated testing, observability, data flows, non-functional requirements and production support. Ability to read and challenge delivery artefacts such as solution designs, interface specifications, dependency maps, release plans, test strategies and operational-readiness criteria. Strong Azure DevOps knowledge, including backlog structures, queries, dashboards, dependencies, capacity and delivery analytics. Experience with scaled agile planning and cross-team dependency management. Proven transformation and change experience, including adoption of new operating models and ways of working. Preferred qualifications and certifications: Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM I/II), SAFe Scrum Master (SSM) or equivalent. Relevant Agile coaching, Kanban, SAFe, DevOps or product-delivery certification.
