Systems Sales Engineer

We’re looking for a Systems Sales Engineer to join a dynamic technical environment where you’ll combine engineering knowledge, client engagement, solution development, and sales to deliver tailored systems that meet customer needs.

POSITION INFO:
Job Description: Engage with clients to understand their technical and business requirements Conduct technical scoping and site assessments Develop tailored system solutions and prepare professional proposals Prepare BOMs, costings, pricing, technical scopes, and project timelines Create or coordinate basic P&IDs, layouts, and system schematics Present technical solutions and proposals to clients Manage proposal revisions, negotiations, and follow-ups through to conversion Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline and generate new business opportunities Work closely with engineering and project teams to ensure solutions are technically sound and commercially viable Maintain accurate CRM and proposal records while keeping administration to a minimum Skills & Experience: Experience in technical sales, systems engineering, solutions engineering, or a similar role Minimum 1 - 3 years of experience Strong technical understanding with the ability to translate client requirements into practical solutions Experience with technical proposals, costing, quotations, or project scoping Ability to interpret or develop basic technical drawings, layouts, or P&IDs Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills Commercially minded with a proactive approach to business development and lead generation Able to manage multiple opportunities while maintaining attention to detail Willingness to travel to client sites when required Qualification: BEng\/ BTech\/ BSc in Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering Only South African Residents or individuals with a relevant South African work permit will be considered Contact MALIEKA DAWOOD on , quoting the Ref: CTE028745.
