POSITION INFO:
Our client is seeking an experienced Product Owner to play a key role in the successful implementation and optimisation of an enterprise-wide ERP solution within a manufacturing environment. This role will take ownership of the full implementation lifecycle, including requirements gathering, system configuration, data migration, testing, training, stakeholder engagement, and post-go-live support. You will work closely with operational, financial, and technical teams to ensure the solution aligns with business objectives and delivers measurable value. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating cross-functional activities, managing vendor relationships, supporting organisational change initiatives, and ensuring successful project delivery. This opportunity is ideal for a professional who combines strong business acumen with practical ERP implementation expertise and thrives in complex project environments. Key Responsibilities Support the end-to-end ERP implementation lifecycle from project scoping through to go-live and hypercare support. Conduct business process analysis and gap assessments across operational and financial business units. Assist with project planning, milestones, timelines, and stakeholder management. Configure and customise ERP modules to meet business requirements. Manage integrations with third-party systems and applications. Design and execute data migration strategies, including data cleansing, mapping, validation, and reconciliation. Develop training materials, user guides, and operational documentation. Deliver user training and support change management initiatives to encourage adoption. Coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT), testing activities, and issue resolution. Conduct cutover planning and support smooth transitions into production environments. Provide post-go-live support, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement recommendations. Engage with senior stakeholders, business leaders, end users, and external vendors. Support audit requirements and ensure governance standards are maintained. Job Experience and Skills Required Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field. Matric with Mathematics. Minimum 10 years' professional experience. At least 5 years' experience within a manufacturing environment. Proven experience as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, ERP Specialist, or similar role. Demonstrated experience delivering large-scale ERP implementations. Strong knowledge of ERP systems and business processes within manufacturing or distribution environments. Experience managing third-party vendors and cross-functional project teams. Strong understanding of system integration, data migration, and data governance principles. Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and influencing skills. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities. Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines. Advantageous Skills Experience with SYSPRO ERP implementations. PMP, Agile, or related project management certifications. Experience within large manufacturing or industrial environments. Strong understanding of operational, financial, procurement, inventory, and production processes. What's in it for You?
