POSITION INFO:
The Opportunity An established and growing business is seeking an experienced, hands-on Supply Chain Manager to take full ownership of its end-to-end supply chain function. This is a key leadership appointment within the business, offering the opportunity to shape, strengthen and develop the supply chain operation as the organisation expands its product portfolio. The successful candidate will bring strong import planning, inventory and warehouse management experience, combined with the ability to lead people, improve processes and build a resilient, high-performing supply chain operation. Key Responsibilities Take full ownership of the end-to-end supply chain function. Manage and place international import orders, ensuring effective lead-time management, order cycles and forward planning. Oversee inventory management, stock accuracy, availability and replenishment. Lead and develop the stock and warehouse teams, driving accountability and operational performance. Implement effective stock control measures and minimise losses, theft and stock discrepancies. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve efficiency, productivity and cost effectiveness. Identify supply chain risks and develop strategies to minimise disruptions and supply shocks. Implement and optimise systems, processes and reporting structures. Build, mentor and develop a high-performance team. Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment between supply chain operations and business requirements. Minimum Requirements Relevant tertiary qualification in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations Management or a related field. An Industrial Engineering degree would be highly advantageous. Proven experience in a senior supply chain, procurement or inventory management role. Strong practical experience in imports, international procurement and import planning. Excellent understanding of international lead times, order cycles and stock replenishment. Demonstrated experience managing warehouse and stock control operations. A proven track record of improving stock accuracy, availability and operational efficiency. Experience leading, developing and motivating teams.
