An electrical engineering contractor in Cape Town’s Northern Suburbs is looking for an experienced Stores Manager to take ownership of its store’s operation. Bring your strengths in stock control, team leadership and keeping project teams supplied with the right materials, tools and equipment—and put them to work in a role where your contribution matters every day.
POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities Manage receiving, storage, issuing and dispatching of stock. Maintain accurate inventory records, stock counts and reports. Control electrical materials, tools, equipment and consumables. Coordinate material requirements with project managers, site supervisors and suppliers. Monitor stock levels and address shortages, damages and discrepancies. Supervise stores staff and maintain safety and housekeeping standards. Maintain stock security, traceability and accountability. Assist with stock audits, cycle counts and stock reconciliations. Requirements Grade 12. Previous stores, warehouse or inventory management experience, preferably within electrical, construction, engineering or infrastructure environments. Sound knowledge of stock control, receiving, issuing and inventory administration. Computer literacy in Microsoft Office and stock management systems. Ability to interpret material requisitions, delivery notes and supplier documentation. Strong leadership, communication, planning and problem-solving skills. Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel to project sites. A forklift licence and knowledge of electrical materials would be advantageous.
