SUMMARY:
We are currently looking for a Storeman to ensure accurate stock records, maintain an organised and safe storeroom, and ensure that stock is available when required to support the company's logistics and transport operations.

We are currently looking for a Storeman to ensure accurate stock records, maintain an organised and safe storeroom, and ensure that stock is available when required to support the company's logistics and transport operations. Minimum Requirements Grade 12 (Matric). Previous experience working as a Storeman, Stores Assistant, or Stock Controller. Experience in a logistics, transport, warehouse, or workshop environment will be advantageous. Basic computer literacy, including Microsoft Excel and stock control systems. Good numerical, record-keeping and organisational skills. A valid driver's licence may be advantageous, depending on operational requirements. Knowledge of vehicle spares, truck parts, tyres, lubricants and workshop consumables would be an advantage in a transport environment. Key Responsibilities Receive, inspect and verify incoming stock, spare parts, tools and materials against delivery notes and purchase orders. Issue stock, tools and equipment to authorised employees and departments. Maintain accurate stock records and update the inventory management system. Conduct regular stock counts and assist with stocktaking and inventory reconciliations. Monitor stock levels and report shortages, damaged goods and discrepancies to management. Ensure that all stock is correctly labelled, stored and easily accessible. Maintain proper documentation for all stock received and issued. Keep the storeroom clean, organised and compliant with health and safety requirements. Monitor the condition of tools, equipment and vehicle-related spare parts. Assist with ordering stock and following up on outstanding deliveries. Prevent stock losses, damage, theft and unauthorised issuing of materials. Liaise with suppliers, procurement, workshop staff and other departments. Ensure that all company procedures and inventory control policies are followed.
