Stock Controller

SUMMARY:
Our client in George is hiring a Stock Controller to oversee stock management, assist with health and safety compliance, and maintain good general site conditions at a designated construction site.

POSITION INFO:
The ideal candidate will be dependable, organised, detail-oriented and able to take responsibility for the day-to-day monitoring of stock and general site conditions. The successful candidate will work at one designated construction site, with a primary focus on stock control, health and safety, and maintaining an orderly working environment. Responsibilities: 1. Stock Control Receive, inspect and record all material deliveries. Check deliveries against purchase orders and delivery notes. Maintain accurate records of materials received, issued and used on site. Monitor material usage to minimise waste and prevent losses. Ensure materials are stored safely, correctly and securely. Report stock shortages and discrepancies to management. 2. Health and Safety Assist with maintaining health and safety standards on site. Ensure workers use the required personal protective equipment (PPE). Identify and report unsafe working conditions. Assist with general health and safety inspections and compliance. 3. General Site Management and Housekeeping Ensure the construction site remains clean, neat and organised. Monitor general site conditions and report any concerns. Assist with coordinating deliveries and the movement of materials. Monitor housekeeping and general site discipline. Report site-related issues to management. Requirements: Own reliable transport is essential. Must be reliable, organised and responsible. Must be able to work independently. Good record-keeping and organisational skills. Ability to monitor stock, identify discrepancies and report issues. Willingness to assist with health and safety and general site housekeeping.
