Stock Controller

SUMMARY:
Luxury Hospitality Collection based in and around Franschhoek is looking for a meticulous Stock Controller to oversee stock management, procurement compliance and inventory accuracy.

Staff transport available from Franschhoek, Paarl and Stellenbosch.

POSITION INFO:
Duties: Oversee daily stock control and maintain inventory levels appropriate to hotel occupancy and operational requirements. Ensure compliance with procurement procedures and inventory policies. Conduct stocktakes, audits and reconciliations, investigating discrepancies and minimising shrinkage. Maintain accurate records and financial reports on stock values and movements. Support the Procurement team with current documentation and assigned projects. Train and supervise Storemen and Stock Administrators in correct packing, picking and stock transportation procedures. Maintain approved stock levels and support inventory cost-reduction targets. Arrange credit notes for incorrect or substandard stock received. Check invoice prices against contracted or quoted prices. Report damage to stock, equipment or facilities promptly. Provide efficient service and feedback to internal departments. Requirements: Matric certificate. At least 2-5 years' experience in a similar role within a 5-star environment. Hospitality Management or Inventory Control certificate or diploma advantageous. Valid driver's licence. Procure.net and Easipos experience beneficial. Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to identify stock variances, capture errors and invoice discrepancies. Strong teamwork, communication and supervisory skills. High standards of personal and professional integrity. Physically able to perform duties involving heavy lifting. Preference will be given to candidates from Franschhoek and neighbouring areas.
