STC - Electrician SAA Technical (12 Months)

Job Purpose

The incumbent of the role will perform maintenance, fault-finding, repairs, inspections, and installation of electrical systems and equipment across SAA facilities, ensuring safe, reliable, compliant, and uninterrupted operation of critical infrastructure.

Please note: This is a 12-month contract position. There should be no expectation of permanent employment upon completion of the contract period.

• Execute Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM)
• Perform inspections, testing, troubleshooting, and repairs
• Respond to electrical breakdowns and emergency callouts
• Ensure compliance with statutory and safety requirements
• Maintain maintenance records, reports, and work orders
• Support asset lifecycle planning and replacement initiatives
• Monitor and supervise electrical contractors
• Ensure availability and reliability of critical electrical infrastructure

• Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA)
• Electrical Installation Regulations
• SANS 10142 (Wiring of Premises)
• Facilities Management principles

• Grade 12/Matric or equivalent qualification at NQF level 4
• Trade Test Certificate: Electrician essential
• Electrical Engineering N4 - N6 will be an advantage
• Wireman's Licence will be an advantage
• OHS and First Aid Training will be an advantage
• Minimum 2 - 3 years' post-trade experience in facilities management, airport, commercial, industrial, or critical infrastructure environments
• Valid Driver's Licence
