SUMMARY:
Our client in the Manufacturing Industry is seeking to employ a Spray Painter to join their team. Please note that this is a fixed-term contract.

POSITION INFO:
Efficiency Staffing Solutions (Pty) Ltd Registration No. 2022/876857/07 Duties & Responsibilities Responsible for preparing parts and assemblies for painting Mix paint and other materials according to specification or formula Ensure facility and spray-painting equipment are in good working condition Responsible for the identification and separation of non-conforming parts or materials and report them to supervisors Utilize spray gun and apply paint in conformance with all specifications Employ heat or oven paint drying techniques for special purpose finishes Scrutinize and measure parts to maintain statistical process control charts Monitor machine gauges and equipment operation to discover defects/deviations from standards, and make necessary adjustments Utilize solvents, wire brushes, and cloths for cleaning sprayers and power equipment Follow company requirements to select paint, and match colors of paint following specified color charts Responsible for material and minor maintenance. Experience & Qualification National Senior Certificate (Matric) Minimum of 2 to 5 years' experience in the related field Must be able to use a gravity feed spray gun. Familiar with safely handling solvents and chemicals Able to mix and/or blend paint and adjust paint guns and systems Expertise in utilizing various spray-painting tools and equipment such as pressure pots, spray guns, hoses, nozzles, gauges, cup guns, conveyor line, paint gun cleaner unit, protective spray-painting equipment, paint shakers, and high lifts Aptitude in using various hand tools, including wrenches, pliers, and hammers Expertise in reading Wet Film Thickness Gage as well as reading and interpreting Product Data Sheets Can identify and correct paint defects Can adhere to work Instructions and clean paint equipment Physical Requirement: It is essential that a spray painter can work in confined spaces and at various heights to execute their job tasks Additional Information Only applicants who meet the requirements outlined above will be considered.
