Our client is looking for a Specialist Accountant: Group Financial Reporting to join a leading and diversified financial services group. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong accounting professional to play a key role in monthly management reporting, statutory reporting, IFRS technical support and group-wide reporting initiatives. If you're a technically strong CA(SA) ready to take your Group Financial Reporting career to the next level, we'd love to hear from you. Duties: Prepare monthly management reporting for Group EXCO. Assist with the preparation of the annual Group budget. Prepare and coordinate interim and annual financial reporting. Support the preparation of Group and subsidiary financial statements. Perform trial balance controls and account reconciliations. Provide technical accounting support on IFRS matters. Support IFRS 17 implementation, including system specifications, testing and transition disclosures. Assist with technical accounting projects and reporting initiatives. Provide IFRS guidance and support across the wider Group, including training where required. Review and evaluate unlisted investments for submission to relevant committees and the Board. Maintain reporting timetables, checklists and reporting processes. Support audit processes and respond to technical accounting requirements. Participate in system testing, including functional and user acceptance testing. Assist with JSE-related reporting requirements and other ad hoc financial reporting projects. Job Experience & Skills Required: Qualifications: Matric (Grade 12) Bachelor's Degree in Accounting BCom Honours in Accounting \/ CTA CA(SA) qualification Experience: Completed SAICA Articles 2-4 years' experience in an accounting\/financial environment. Relevant experience within the insurance or financial services industry would be advantageous. Experience using financial reporting systems such as SAP or Hyperion Financial Management will be beneficial. Strong understanding of IFRS and technical accounting principles. Comfortable working with modern technology and digital financial solutions..
