Sous Chef

SUMMARY:
Luxury 5* Relais & Châteaux Safari Lodge in the Greater Kruger area is looking for a hands-on Sous Chef.
 
We are looking for a strong, creative candidate with 5* luxury hospitality experience, ideally including private villa dining.

POSITION INFO:
Duties: Preparation and design of all food. Produce high-quality meals both in taste and design Ensure the kitchen operates in a timely way that meets our quality standards. Solve any issues that arise and take control of any problematic situations Comply with and enforce sanitation regulations and safety standards Maintain a positive and professional approach with co-workers and guests Comfortable in talking to and dealing with guests Requirements: Grade 12 A formally qualified chef with a fine-dining background (luxury lodge or boutique hotel experience preferred). Proven 5* culinary experience Private villa dining experience Experience with kosher food preparation requirements Confidence catering for a wide range of dietary requirements and allergies An inventive and creative approach to menus, presentation and personalised guest dining A strong preference for sustainable practices, including responsible ingredient use, waste reduction and local sourcing where possible
