POSITION INFO:
An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Software Engineer to join a technology-driven environment, developing specialised scientific and engineering software applications. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing and maintaining robust software solutions that combine advanced software engineering with mathematical, scientific and engineering principles. This role requires strong full-stack development capabilities, analytical thinking and the ability to translate complex technical requirements into practical software solutions. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, test and maintain specialised scientific and engineering applications. Develop scalable software solutions using C#/.NET, TypeScript and Vue.js or equivalent frontend frameworks. Build and integrate REST APIs and backend services. Design, manage and optimise relational and other database solutions. Develop software that incorporates mathematical models, physics-based calculations and engineering principles. Integrate software applications with electronic systems, IoT devices and external platforms. Develop and maintain software integrations with ERP and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS). Implement and maintain automated build, testing and deployment pipelines. Work with multidisciplinary teams to understand technical requirements and deliver effective software solutions. Troubleshoot, debug and optimise application performance. Maintain high standards of software quality, documentation, version control and development practices. Explore and implement emerging technologies and tools to enhance software capabilities. Minimum Requirements 4-5 years' relevant software development experience. Strong proficiency in C#/.NET. Experience with Vue.js or an equivalent frontend framework. Strong knowledge of TypeScript. Experience developing and integrating REST APIs. Good understanding of database design, management and optimisation. Practical experience with Docker and containerised applications. Strong mathematical, physics and analytical skills. Ability to develop specialised scientific and engineering software applications. Experience working with Git and software development workflows. Advantageous Experience Experience in any of the following areas will be highly beneficial: Electronics and IoT integrations. ERP and Warehouse Management System (WMS) integrations. GitLab CI/CD pipelines. Rust programming language. Tauri desktop application framework. Artificial Intelligence (AI) platforms and integrations. Scientific computing, engineering software or physics-based applications.
