Job Description

About the role

  • The Social Media Community Associate, with a focus on social media, is responsible for growing and maintaining SportyBet’s social community across multiple platforms - while also reviewing and monitoring SportyBet’s network of influencers, creators, affiliates and a good knowledge and understanding of Football. This is a hybrid position located in our Century City, Cape Town offices. 

What you'll be doing

  • Develop, maintain, and strengthen SportyBet’s online affiliate and social community presence by fostering authentic, consistent engagement and representing the brand positively across all relevant channels and platforms
  • Track and analyze social media trends, community sentiment, and affiliate performance to identify opportunities for growth and improvement
  • Support and strengthen SportyBet’s relationships within the wider online sports community, ensuring consistent tone, professionalism, and authenticity in every interaction
  • Build, manage, and maintain strong interactions with SportyBet users, influencers, creators, tipsters, and affiliate partners through a social online community
  • Manage influencer/creator pages, monitor their online activity and performance, and provide ongoing feedback and support to maximise results
  • Identify and reach out to new affiliates and creators through social media platforms and digital communities

What you'll bring

  • Strong understanding of major social media platforms (X/Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, Telegram, etc.) and international online community culture
  • Solid grasp of social media trends, sports culture, and sports betting fundamentals (markets, odds, fan engagement)
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Passion for sports, digital engagement, and community development
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and adaptable in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong copywriting and content creation abilities
  • Creative thinker with a data-driven mindset and attention to detail
  • Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple projects and channels simultaneously
  • Strong collaboration skills and comfort working across teams

Even better if

  • Experience in the sports betting, sports media, or gaming industry.
  • Experience working with influencers, creators, or affiliate programs.
  • Familiarity with analytics tools (e.g., Meta Insights, TikTok Analytics, YouTube Studio).
  • Basic design and video editing skills (Canva, CapCut, Adobe Creative tools, etc.).
