Smart Systems & Security Solutions Architect

SUMMARY:
Are you a technically strong Solution Architect, Systems Engineer or Integration Specialist with experience across security systems, BMS, smart buildings, ICT/OT or critical infrastructure?
We are looking for an experienced professional to take ownership of the architecture, design and integration of complex smart infrastructure and security solutions. This is a technical and client-facing role where you will work from initial solution development and pre-sales through detailed design, implementation, testing, commissioning and final handover.
The ideal candidate will be someone who enjoys solving complex integration challenges and can bridge the gap between security, building management, ICT/OT, data centre infrastructure and smart technologies.

POSITION INFO:
Responsibilities: Develop end-to-end architectures for integrated security, BMS and smart infrastructure solutions. Translate client requirements into practical, scalable and commercially viable technical solutions. Develop concept designs, HLDs, LLDs, system architectures, schematics and technical specifications. Develop and integrate Building Management Systems (BMS), IoT, automation and monitoring solutions. Define ICT and networking requirements including IP networks, fibre, structured cabling, servers, cloud and virtualisation. Integrate IT, OT, security and facilities-management systems. Support DCIM, energy management and smart-building technologies. Develop system integration strategies using APIs and multi-system platforms. Conduct technical design reviews, risk assessments and technical assurance. Ensure designs comply with applicable standards and client requirements. Support project teams through implementation, installation, testing and commissioning. Review contractor submissions, shop drawings and technical proposals. Manage technical risks, design changes and scope variations. Develop and witness FAT, SAT and Integrated Systems Testing (IST). Validate system performance against design intent and support final client handover. Requirements: NDip Electronic Engineering, BSc Electrical Engineering, BSc Electronic Engineering or equivalent. Proven experience within one or more of the following environments: Integrated security systems Smart buildings BMS ICT\/OT Data Centres Critical Infrastructure Systems Integration Strong understanding of security technologies such as Access Control, CCTV\/VMS, PIDS, IDS and PSIM. Experience with BMS, IoT and automation systems. Understanding of IP networking, fibre, structured cabling and system infrastructure. Experience developing technical architecture, HLD\/LLD documentation and system specifications. Exposure to system integration, IT\/OT, DCIM and APIs. Experience with testing and commissioning, including FAT, SAT and\/or IST.
