Purpose of the job:
To oversee the safe, compliant, efficient, and profitable day-to-day operations of the entire filling station and its attached convenience retail or deli facilities
 
Required Qualifications:

1. Matric
2. Tertiary Qualification – advantageous
3. Minimum of 5 years experience in fuel/retail/forecourt leadership experience
4. Strong Winbranch & MiniPOS  experience

POSITION INFO:
Technical Competencies & Experience 1. Operations and Wetstock Management: Monitor fuel stock levels, oversee fuel deliveries, and perform daily tank dips and meter readings. Reconcile fuel sales and manage wetstock loss (shrinkage, leaks, or discrepancies). Coordinate routine maintenance for pumps, dispensers, and underground storage infrastructure. 2. Staff Management: Supervise, train, and motivate forecourt attendants and cashiers. Create shift rosters, manage attendance, and handle staff performance or disciplinary issues. Ensure uniform standards and customer service excellence. 3.Financial and Cash Controls: Oversee daily cash-ups, shift reconciliations, and banking procedures. Investigate cash shortages, discrepancies, and drive-offs (customers leaving without paying). Track fuel sales performance against key performance indicators (KPIs). 4.Health, Safety, and Environmental Compliance (HSEQ): Enforce strict South African safety protocols regarding open flames, smoking, and mobile phone usage on the forecourt. Ensure compliance with environmental laws regarding fuel storage and waste disposal. Prepare the facility for safety audits and hazardous substance regulations. 5.Customer Service and Security: Handle escalated customer complaints professionally. Monitor CCTV and security protocols to deter fuel theft, drive-offs, and internal fraud.
