Silo Manager

Senwes Grainlink is recruiting for a Silo Manager who will primarily be responsible for effectively managing the handling and storage of grain to maintain product quality and achieve sustainable financial outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the handling of grain.
• Manage the storage of grain.
• Optimise grain handling and storage operations.
• Grow market share within the grain industry.
• Liaise with clients and maintain effective client relationships.
• Manage the silo in accordance with the departmental business plan.
• Manage and develop staff.
• Compile, monitor and manage the silo budget.

• National Senior Certificate.
• Relevant grain grading and fumigation courses.
• Certificate in Management/Leadership.
• 3–5 years’ experience in the grain industry, with knowledge and experience in:
  • Crop estimates
  • Testing and grading of grain
  • Fumigation
  • Aeration
• Excellent negotiation and conflict management skills.
• Knowledge of SAP.
