About the Role
We are seeking a SHEQ (Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality) Intern to join our team. In this role, you will focus on supporting the implementation and maintenance of SHEQ management systems and processes within our organization. This position offers an excellent opportunity for you to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic environment while contributing to our commitment to safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist in conducting safety audits and inspections to ensure compliance with the company's SHEQ policies.
- Support the implementation of SHEQ training programs to promote awareness among employees.
- Participate in risk assessments and assist in the development of safe work procedures.
- Help in the preparation of SHEQ reports and documentation for internal and external audits.
- Monitor and analyze incidents, accidents, and near-miss reports to identify areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with various departments to promote adherence to quality assurance practices.
- Participate in the development and implementation of environmental management initiatives.
- Engage in continuous improvement projects related to health, safety, quality, and the environment.

Requirements

- A relevant qualification in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Quality Management, or a related field.
- Demonstrable experience in SHEQ systems, practices, or processes is advantageous.
- Basic understanding of health and safety legislation and environmental regulations.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with SHEQ auditing tools and methodologies.
- Knowledge of ISO standards related to quality, environment, and occupational health and safety is a plus.
- Certification in First Aid or Occupational Health and Safety would be beneficial.
