Sessional Medical Specialist : (Radiology)

Requirements :

• A degree (MBCHB) FCS(SA) or equivalent, Registration with HPCSA as a Medical Specialist in Radiology. Proof of current registration with HPCSA as a Medical Specialist.

Duties :

• PROPOSED REVISED SPECIALIST DUTIES (for HR approval): Provide consultant radiology services including appropriate interpretation and timely reporting of imaging studies, specialist advice on imaging selection and protocols, communication of urgent or critical findings, and image-guided procedures within the available service scope and credentialling. Support multidisciplinary clinical meetings, radiation safety, quality assurance, imaging governance and efficient workflow. S
• upervise and teach registrars, medical officers and undergraduate students, and participate in academic activities, clinical audit, research, outreach and protocol development. Coordinate referral or escalation for investigations and interventions not available locally.
