Senior Travel Consultant: ERM (Energy, Resource, Marine/Mining)

SUMMARY:
A leading corporate and online travel management company based in Johannesburg is seeking an experienced Senior Travel Consultant: ERM (Energy, Resources, Marine and Mining) to provide a consultative corporate travel management service. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing complex domestic, regional and international travel arrangements, with a specialist focus on supporting travellers, clients and projects within the Energy, Resources, Marine and Mining sectors.

POSITION INFO:
Role purpose: The role is responsible for end-to-end travel servicing, including complex itinerary planning, fares and ticketing, traveller documentation, policy and approval compliance, disruption management and proactive traveller support. The incumbent must balance service, cost, safety, operational urgency and continuity, particularly for remote-site, rotational, crew-style and project-based travel movements. QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE Required (not-negotiable): Sabre Red 360 Amadeus Trip planner Diploma/relevant qualifications in Travel and Tourism General Travel Certificate 5 plus years' experience in the retail travel industry Strong operational / travel systems experience, fares knowledge, staff management skills and can work within a fast-paced, busy environment Specialist Energy, Resource, Marine/Mining Demonstrable corporate travel consulting experience supporting Energy, Resource, Marine/Mining or project-based travellers. Experience with rotational, crew-style, remote-site or operational travel movements is strongly preferred. Strong understanding of complex international routing, transit requirements, baggage considerations and travel to remote or high-dependency locations. Experience supporting multinational engineering, energy or infrastructure accounts is advantageous.
