Senior Operations Manager

SUMMARY:
We are looking for an experienced Senior Operations Manager to lead transport operations within the Energy sector, with responsibility for operational excellence, profitability, business growth, strategic customer relationships and overall team leadership.

POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities Lead and execute operational and business strategies to achieve financial and operational targets Manage fleet utilisation, operational costs, route optimisation and service delivery Drive business development, contract negotiations and sustainable revenue growth Build and maintain strategic relationships with key customers and stakeholders Manage financial performance, budgeting, P&L and commercial results Ensure compliance with SHEQ, risk, governance and transport legislation Lead, develop and coach operational teams Drive continuous improvement and a high-performance culture Present and negotiate at Senior Management and Board level Minimum Requirements Bachelors degree in Transport, Logistics Management or a related field 5 to 8 years senior management experience in a transport operations environment Strong exposure to trucking, General Freight, Chemical and\/or Hazardous Cargo Proven financial and commercial acumen, including P&L accountability Proven track record in strategic customer relationship management Experience presenting and negotiating at Senior Management and Board level Management-level experience in fuel, chemical and gas logistics Strong knowledge of transport operations, legislation, SHEQ, risk and governance Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
