This role offers the opportunity to work across the full software development lifecycle while collaborating with stakeholders, architects, and development teams to deliver innovative mobile solutions. You will provide technical leadership across architecture, development, testing, deployment, and support while driving best practices, development standards, and continuous improvement initiatives. Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain cross-platform mobile applications using modern development frameworks Translate business requirements, UI/UX designs, and wireframes into scalable mobile solutions Develop integrations with APIs, backend services, databases, and third-party platforms Conduct code reviews and enforce coding standards, quality controls, and best practices Define and guide architecture decisions related to application scalability, performance, and maintainability Identify and manage technical debt through continuous improvement initiatives Implement and maintain secure coding practices across mobile solutions Monitor and optimise application performance, reliability, and user experience Troubleshoot production issues and resolve application defects and performance bottlenecks Own and manage the end-to-end release process for Android and iOS applications Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and guidance to development teams Contribute to development frameworks, standards, and architecture practices Job Experience and Skills Required: Education: Diploma in Software Development or a related qualification Preferred: BEng, BSc, BCom (IT), or related Degree Experience: Minimum 6 years' software development experience Experience mentoring and leading developers Proven experience delivering enterprise mobile applications Experience working within Agile/Scrum environments Technical Skills: React Native TypeScript Modern React Android and iOS Development Mobile Testing Tools (TestFlight, Emulators, etc.) REST API Development and Integration Mobile Build Pipelines (Expo Application Services) C# / .NET Git Version Control Microservice Architectures Message Brokers (RabbitMQ, Azure Service Bus, AWS EventBridge, or similar) Cloud Platforms (Azure advantageous) Advantageous: Redux Azure DevOps Azure Durable Function Apps CI/CD Pipelines Cosmos DB and MSSQL Non-relational and relational databases Experience working with international teams across multiple time zones Additional Requirements: Strong understanding of mobile application architecture and system design Knowledge of database design principles Strong troubleshooting and performance optimisation skills Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities Ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-pressure environment Experience within finance, invoicing, claims, or insurance environments advantageous Apply now!
