Job Description

SUMMARY:

A specialised multidisciplinary engineering organisation is seeking a Mechanical Draughtsman with pressure-equipment experience to develop detailed fabrication drawings for pressure vessels, tanks, reactors, heat exchangers and related process equipment. Mid-level and senior candidates with strong knowledge of vessel components, welding details and applicable pressure-equipment standards will be considered.

POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities Produce and check complex equipment, machinery and fabrication drawings Develop detailed 3D models, assemblies and bills of materials Review drawings for manufacturability, tolerances, welding and material compliance Coordinate technical interfaces with piping, structural and civil designs Support vendor, workshop and construction queries Manage revisions, engineering changes and as-built documentation Establish drawing standards and checking procedures Guide junior and mid-level draughtsmen Support industrial equipment fabrication and installation Minimum Requirements Relevant mechanical draughting or engineering design qualification At least 10 years of mechanical draughting experience Advanced fabrication, manufacturing and assembly drawing experience Strong 3D modelling and drawing-checking capability Experience with formal revision and engineering-change control For more information, contact: Siphelele Mzongwana Recruitment Consultant ð§ ð If you have not received a response within two weeks, please consider your application unsuccessful.
