POSITION INFO:
Senior Firmware Engineer (Microchip/PCB- Automotive Embedded sector) KZN Permanent Engineering & Technical KwaZulu Natal, KZN (Negotiable) We are seeking a Senior Firmware Engineer with expertise in Hardware/Firmware Development, Umhlanga [KZN] Key Duties and Responsibilities Design, develop, and test hardware components for electronic products. Demonstrate Hardware Development experience, particularly with SCH+PCB design and Altium Designer. Possess Hardware Design experience, particularly in Embedded Automotive, including familiarity with CAN, LIN, PSUs, IOs, and relays. Conduct Hardware Simulation, with LT Spice being preferable. Exhibit RF Development experience, including CPW, antenna matching/tuning, and the use of network analyzers. Apply Firmware Development skills, utilizing C, C++, RTOS, GSM, GPS, CAN/LIN, TCP, and TLS. Develop firmware for embedded systems using STM and Microchip technologies. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful delivery of projects. Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members. Conduct performance analysis and optimization of hardware and firmware designs.
