Senior Export Controller

SUMMARY:
Important client requirements:
- Candidates must currently be handling Seafreight Exports on a daily basis. Candidates whose last Seafreight Export experience was in 2025 or earlier will unfortunately not be considered.
- Preference will be given to candidates who are specialising in Seafreight Exports only, rather than those currently working in a multimodal environment (air, road and sea).
POSITION INFO:
Minimum Requirements: Matric. Freight Forwarding qualification advantageous. 5-7 years' Export Controller experience within the Clearing & Forwarding industry. Proven experience managing the full export process from start to finish. Strong understanding of: Incoterms Export freight documentation Customs and statutory clearance procedures International trade principles Carrier and transport documentation Seafreight export operations. Key Responsibilities: Plan and coordinate export freight movements. Manage the end-to-end Seafreight export process. Process customs and statutory documentation. Ensure accurate file administration. Manage invoicing and disbursements. Handle claims where required. Maintain high levels of customer service and operational efficiency. Support compliance with customs and quality management requirements. Ideal Candidate Profile: Strong customer-service orientation. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making ability. Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail. Able to perform effectively under pressure. Self-motivated and proactive. Strong communication skills and team-player mindset
