Senior Engineer

SUMMARY:
Lead the technical design of new and existing products from concept through to certification and production, and mentor junior engineers.

POSITION INFO:
Responsibilities Own the technical design (hardware and/or firmware) on development projects and make the key design decisions. Lead design reviews, risk assessments and technical problem-solving. Mentor and review the work of junior engineers and technicians. Write and approve technical specifications, test reports and certification documentation. Work with Systems Engineering, Production, Product Management and Project Management. Support clients and the field on complex technical problems. Contribute to proposals and quotes. Requirements BEng in Electronic or Computer Engineering (ECSA registration is an advantage) 8+ years in electronic product development, with at least 2 in a senior or lead role Full product development life cycle, from R&D to production Experience with certification and safety standards Advantageous Master's degree Gas detection, proximity detection/collision avoidance, or communication systems Mining Jira and Confluence
