The team transforms data into actionable insights that support strategic decision-making, optimise operations and drive business performance. By identifying trends, patterns and opportunities, the team enables informed, data-driven decisions and contributes directly to the organisation's strategic objective of being an insights-driven organisation. As a Data Analyst III, you'll operate at the intersection of data, strategy and leadership. This isn't an individual contributor role - you'll lead, mentor and influence, using data to shape how the business thinks and moves What you'll do Make data accessible and meaningful to stakeholders across the organisation Transform complex datasets into clear insights that senior decision-makers act on Identify trends, patterns and opportunities that drive informed business decisions Align data analysis with business strategy and goals Provide data-driven recommendations to senior management and influence decision-making Lead and mentor less experienced analysts and data teams - sharing knowledge and building capability across the organisation Oversee adherence to industry regulations and compliance requirements in the analytics space Minimum Experience At least 8 years of experience in data analysis, with a significant portion in the financial services or banking sector Proven track record leading large-scale data analysis projects and driving business impact through data insights Mastery of advanced data analysis tools - SQL, Python, R, Tableau and Power BI Experience with machine learning algorithms and their application in predictive analytics Aligning data analysis with business strategy and goals Providing data-driven recommendations to senior management and influencing decision-making Leading and mentoring less experienced analysts and data teams - knowledge sharing and training Overseeing adherence to industry regulations and compliance requirements in the analytics space Market analysis and understanding of economic factors affecting the business Qualifications (Ideal or Preferred) Honours Degree in Analytical\/Data\/Technical or Other Knowledge Expert mastery in SQL, including query optimization, database design, and ETL processes. Expertise in designing and implementing complex dashboards and visualizations. Knowledge of machine learning algorithms and their application in predictive analytics. Advanced programming skills in Python or R, including experience with machine learning libraries (e.g., scikit-learn, TensorFlow). Proficiency in advanced statistical modelling techniques and their application in financial analysis. Expertise in advanced predictive analytics techniques and their application in financial services. Ability to derive strategic insights from data and align them with business goals. Advanced knowledge of risk management techniques and their application in financial analysis.
