Sales Representative – Agricultural Sector Location: Klerksdorp \/ North West Salary: Market-related + commission & extensive benefits About the Role Our client is a leading provider of innovative solutions and products to the agricultural sector , supporting farmers and agricultural businesses with solutions designed to improve productivity, efficiency and overall farming operations. We are looking for an experienced and driven Sales Representative to join their team and service the Klerksdorp and surrounding North West agricultural market . This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a genuine agricultural background , strong sales ability and a passion for working directly with farmers and agricultural clients. Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain strong relationships with farmers and agricultural clients. Identify and develop new business opportunities within the agricultural sector. Manage and grow an existing customer base. Understand clients' farming operations and identify their specific requirements. Present and sell the company's products and solutions to agricultural customers. Conduct client visits, product presentations and demonstrations where required. Generate leads and actively develop new sales opportunities. Manage the full sales process from initial enquiry through to closing. Achieve agreed sales targets and maintain accurate sales records. Maintain strong relationships with existing clients and identify opportunities for additional sales. Attend agricultural events, farmers' days, exhibitions and industry-related events where required. Keep up to date with developments and trends within the agricultural industry. Work closely with internal teams to ensure excellent customer service and successful delivery of solutions. Minimum Requirements Previous experience within the agricultural sector is essential. Proven experience in sales , preferably selling to farmers or agricultural businesses. Good understanding of farming operations and the agricultural environment. Strong commercial and business development skills. Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities. A confident and personable approach when dealing directly with farmers and clients. Self-motivated, target-driven and able to work independently. Strong negotiation and closing skills. Willingness to travel throughout the Klerksdorp \/ North West region . A valid driver's licence.
