Safety Officer

SUMMARY:
An established mining services organisation, specialising in drilling and mine development, offers a hands-on Safety Officer role across its operational sites.

POSITION INFO:
The Role Conduct risk assessments, safety inspections and audits. Investigate incidents and drive corrective actions. Ensure compliance with the Mine Health and Safety Act (MHSA) and SHEQ standards. Deliver safety training and promote a strong safety culture. What You'll Need Matric and SAMTRAC (or equivalent safety qualification, NQF 5+). Minimum 3 years' Safety Officer experience in mining, drilling, construction or heavy industry. Sound MHSA knowledge and practical incident investigation experience. Valid driver's licence, medical fitness and willingness to travel between sites. Advantageous Professional registration with SACPCMP or SAIOSH. Raise boring or drilling experience.
