JOB PURPOSE
This role oversees the management of reusable (ratable) parts, coordinating their use, maintenance, and repair to minimise downtime and control costs. Further, in the role of Technical Buyer, the incumbent is responsible for purchasing mechanical, electrical, or other technical components, materials, and services for the mine's operations.

POSITION INFO:
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Completion of Grade 12 is a fundamental prerequisite, with an N3 qualification regarded as advantageous. A National Diploma in Engineering or an NG qualification shall be considered as a prerequisite. A valid Trade Test certificate is required. Previous experience as an artisan or in a similar role, together with experience in vendor management and the utilization of ERP systems, is considered highly advantageous. A forklift and a driver's license are advantageous. Understanding of mining machinery and their rotary components. A comprehensive understanding of pertinent manufacturing procedures, technical specifications, and industrial materials (e.g., mechanical and electrical components). Knowledge of data management systems, financial metrics, and operational risk management techniques.
