Purpose:

Are you an experienced retail leader passionate about operational excellence and customer service? We’re hiring a results-driven Retail Store Manager in Training (Designate) to oversee all store operations, including sales targets, inventory management, shrinkage control, and team performance. You will drive profitability, champion compliance, elevate customer satisfaction, and mentor staff for succession.

Key KPIs:

• Sales growth, expense control, team development, shrinkage management, and customer service ratings.
• Manager of managers

• 5+ years in retail store management (ideally in the healthcare /FMCG sector), ideally with SAP/Unisolv/Kronos exposure, strong business acumen, and proven leadership capability.
• Diploma or advanced Certificate in Retail Management, or a BCom degree, Retail Management Diploma or related Commercial qualification.
• Clear credit and criminal history.
• South African Citizen.
• Clear criminal record
• Valid driver's licence (required) and own reliable transport (preferred)
• Various locations across South Africa (Western Cape, Garden Route, Eastern Cape and Border, KwaZulu-Natal)
• Must be willing to work retail hours

• Creative and innovative thinking; strong problem-solving and analytical ability
• Sound business acumen and understanding of fiscal guidelines and financial reporting
• Effective communicator, able to explain concepts to first-time users and deliver information to groups
• Strong interpersonal and emotional intelligence skills; diplomatic under pressure
• Quality-focused with a strong sense of professionalism and adherence to SOPs
• Leadership ability, including coaching, mentoring, and change management
• Basic computer literacy (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); numerical skills; SAP, UNISOLV, SuccessFactors experience advantageous
