Resident Engineers (Cape Town)

SUMMARY:
RESIDENT ENGINEERS – CAPE TOWN

Naidu Consulting is seeking two (2) experienced Resident Engineers to join a major civil engineering project in Cape Town, commencing January 2027.
This is an opportunity for experienced engineering professionals to take on a key role in the delivery of a significant road and infrastructure upgrade project.

POSITIONS AVAILABLE
We are looking for:

1 × Resident Engineer – Road Civil Works
Experience in road civil works is required.

1 × Resident Engineer – Water Works
Experience in water works, specifically Pipeline Relocation, is required.
 
 
ABOUT THE PROJECT
The project will entail the upgrading of a 1.35 km long single carriageway to a dual carriageway, incorporating a range of road, water and associated infrastructure works.
The works will include:

• Widening of the carriageway, including upgrading of intersections
• Resurfacing of the existing carriageway
• Protection, relocation and upgrading of existing services impacted by the widening
• Upgrade and relocation of the existing DN750 cast iron CML water supply pipeline
• Installation/upgrade of 4 no. traffic signalized intersections
• Relocation of approximately 850 m of existing cemetery sandstone wall and fencing to a new location
• All ancillary services, including signage, streetlighting, electrical cable (MV/LV) works, landscaping, drainage, IS&T services and ducting

• ECSA registered PrEng or PrTechEng with a minimum of 15 years’ post-graduate experience; or
• Unregistered, with a tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering and a minimum of 18 years’ post-qualification experience.

• Ideally based in Cape Town
• Start Date: January 2027
• Salary budget: R1.1 million – R1.2 million per annum, depending on experience
